Park Cleanup - June 16 | 9am-Noon

Dottie Jordan Park is greatly utilized; the hike and bike trail, the children’s playground, both the tennis and basketball courts, the swimming pool, and the gazebo are just some of the park’s amenities. Volunteers are needed for a project of the Dottie Jordan Park Advisory Board with support by Keep Austin Beautiful – Please invite your neighbors, especially those who frequent the park for walks, tennis, bringing their children to play and walking their dogs ….

Join your friends and neighbors in showing this jewel of the community a little bit of love!

Cleanup of trash is needed throughout the park, especially along the trail by Little Walnut Creek and along the Creek itself. We plan on sprucing up the Loyola Lane traffic island and lowering and shaping the bushes. The trees along Loyola Lane will get fresh mulch. Donations of mulch are appreciated.

Please remember to wear a hat, shoes that are good for outdoor work, gardening gloves, and use sun screen and insect repellent. If you can share your cutting tools, rakes, hoes, shovels and clippers, please bring them. Trash bags and plastic gloves will be provided. Come and make a difference! AND a volunteer appreciation party will be held after the cleanup – at the Dottie Jordan Recreation Center.

In the event of rain, the cleanup will be held at the same time on June 23.
